Born and raised in the Hilltop area, I am lifelong Denver resident. I’m lucky enough to be retired and able to devote more time to my photography habit, er, passion. My photography experience dates back to high school (George Washington, class of ’68) where I was photography editor for our yearbook. Of course this was back in the darkroom room days where I learned the importance of creating a well-crafted photograph in camera. Editing and judging thousands of photographs gave me a solid foundation for understanding what constitutes solid composition as well the importance of establishing compelling subject matter and using craft and artistry to compel the viewer to want to explore an image. I consider myself to be mostly a landscape photographer with an emphasis on the amazing vistas we are so fortunate to enjoy here in Colorado and the southwest. I’ve admired the submissions to this contest in past years, impressed by talent and passion shown by Washington Park photographers and look forward to seeing what you all create this year.
I live, work and play in Washington Park. I have been photographing nature and the world around me since I was a teenager. I turned my passion into a business over 10 years ago right here in Washington Park. With the encouragement and support of Washington Park Families I started Glenda Cebrian Photography.
Photographing families on location in their own element develops more natural smiles and expressions. Chasing toddlers and getting families to laugh and relax during my sessions is fun and natural for me. I believe preserving precious memories of childhood and families is a must as time flies when you are having fun!
